Allahabad - City of Legends


Hello, I'm back again with something more about Allahabad. In my previous post I described you the city of Allahabad, present in the province of Uttar Pradesh and in the country of India.



 Allahabad is the oldest and the ancient city of india after the holy city of Varanasi, earlier known as Benares. Allahabad is very historical place. Its history lies embedded everywhere in its fields, forests and settlements. Allahabad is a very well known center for education. Allahabad university was established on 18 September 1887. It is the fourth oldest university of India after Calcutta,Bombay and Madras University. Allahabad University earned the epithet of 'Oxford of the East'.You would be curious to know my interest in the city. I am a resident of Allahabad and have felt the purity of this city to the deepest. I feel privileged to belong to this city where such great people took birth. I wish to share my thoughts about this beautiful city where I took birth! The city is the mother of many children that brought the glory for the Prayag Nagri as well for India.
